Dirty Scissors – Ever get a pair of scissors marred with mysterious sticky residue?  An easy fix is to clean the blades with a cloth soaked in white vinegar.  Fun fact, the vinegar even keeps them from rusting!

Screen Time – With the way we use and abuse electronics, those computer screens are bound to get muck on them at some point.  Since it is highly unlikely that you’re walking around with a pocket full of microfiber cleaning cloth or electronic approved wipes, your best bet is a coffee filter.  It’s soft, won’t leave fibers behind and is a great way to clean dust and other grime.

The Whiteboard Trick – It has happened to all of us.  You’re in a rush and you grab a marker to jot those important notes or formulas onto the office or conference room white board.  You don’t notice until you are done that – OOPS – you’ve used a PERMANENT marker instead of a dry erase marker that goes with the whiteboard.  No worries!  Simply grab that appropriate dry erase marker and write on or scribble over what you’ve written.  Then use the dry eraser to wipe everything away – good as new!

Greasy Prints – This is most common in high traffic areas like break rooms but you’ll notice fingerprint smears on the once pristine walls.  It can make a room look pretty gross rather fast so it’s always best to remove them as soon as possible rather than leaving them until the next time your office cleaning crew comes around.  Take white chalk and rub it over any greasy prints.  Use a damp cloth to wipe it off and you’ve reclaimed a safe, less disgusting space.
