The roughest place in your home is the bathroom. It’s in constant use and definitely takes abuse. Considering what happens in there, it may not always be spring clean fresh. Luckily, there are a few inexpensive ways you can keep that area clean smelling throughout the day.
Pour a cup of vinegar in your toilet tank. After a few flushes, that toilet will smell fresh and clean once again. IMPORTANT: Make sure that vinegar doesn’t sit in the toilet tank for too long! You can even use a small capful of fabric softener in the tank instead of vinegar.
Wash smelly towels in vinegar and baking soda. Not only does it work wonders on the towels but it helps keep the washer and dryer fresh smelling.
Pour Pine-Sol in your toilet brush holder. Not only will this help clean the germs in between uses, it will give the area a more pleasant odor.
Add a couple drops of essential oil to the inside of your toilet paper rolls. Every time someone unrolls some toilet paper, the scent will waft up into the rest of the bathroom.
Throw some cotton balls into a mason jar and sprinkle some essential oil drops on them. Keep the jar lidded between bathroom use. You can even put a few drops directly into your trash bin.
